Yukari Sahashi is Minato's younger sister. She is 18 years old, and a college student that is enrolled in Shindong Women's University[1]. Unlike Minato, Yukari has a very assertive, extroverted, and confident personality and also knew for a long time who her father was[2]. She comes to Tokyo to attend university and be closer to her mother and brother. She is Shiina's Ashikabi, having met him during his attempts to reunite with Kusano. Her and Shiina eventually build up a reputation as an "evil" duo known as the "Demon Ashikabi and Death God Sekirei".[3]
She was unaware that her brother is an Ashikabi and that Kusano is one of his Sekirei but she has expressed the desire that such a pairing might occur[4], which came true when the siblings met during the 4th match of the Third Stage.[5] For some time, Yukari had been taken prisoner by Higa Izumi in order to use Shiina's power for himself. She seems to be unaware that Shiina has become Higa's pawn in her absence.[6] She escaped Higa by jumping out of a window from a high floor, being confident Minato will save her, but instead Shiina did.[7]

Yukari is a petite and slim young woman with black hair and blue eyes. She is one of the rare characters seen to change her outfit on a regular basis. This ranges from school uniforms to a dress resembling a military uniform.
Personality
Yukari's personality is very different from her brother's. Although she has the same sense of justice as him, Yukari is bolder and more blunt than Minato. Yukari is very straight forward and confident, constantly giving Minato advice even though he is the older sibling. She is also very stubborn and will not be pushed into things that she doesn't want like for example; when Higa asks Yukari to be with him, she denies him and still acts rebellious when she is taken hostage by him.
Yukari has also been shown to show no mercy towards those who offend her as she beats up several Ashikabi who insult her to the point that even Shiina starts to show compassion towards the victim who falls before Yukari. Due to her forceful reputation, merciless attack style and as well as a penchant for diplaying a demonic facial visage, she has earned her the title, 'Demon Ashikabi'.
One odd thing about Yukari is her obsession with bishounen. She likes to squeeze big breasts. She has even had nosebleeds because she was thinking about things like dressing Shiina up in various clothes[8]. This interest, however, is mostly a result of her hidden feelings for Minato, who she cares for deeply, which she cannot openly express.

In the beginning and throughout the series, Yukari seemed to show a slight brother complex. This seemed to come from a time when she was lost in a forest and Minato saved her[4]. However, Yukari remembers the incident differently, and realizes that even though he did go to find Yukari, he had also gotten lost himself. This seemed to end her brother complex and her resolve to escape from Higa becomes real[2]. In recent chapters, she was revealed to be susceptible to motion sickness, as seen on-board the Minaka.[9]

History
Yukari grew up like her brother Minato under the impression that her mother is working for a medical company, but other than her brother she realized by accident that she is in fact the daughter of the MBI president, Hiroto Minaka. During her childhood she seemed to rely on her brother in many ways. As example, she was used to get rescued by her brother when lost in a forest and as a grown up woman she is still waiting for him to come to her rescue when kidnapped by Higa[4][10]. It turns out however that she had to help Minato in the end who miserably failed in his attempt to help her out of the forest[2].
Synopsis
Yukari first appears visiting Izumo Inn to see Minato and Musubi after having met the latter during a visit to Minato in the prelude chapters.[1] Yukari later meets Shiina for the first time as he is fleeing from Akitsu and Mitsuha, who want to capture him in order for their Ashikabi, Hayato Mikogami to wing him against his will. Homura also interferes, and the duo flee to Yukari's apartment.
Shiina and Yukari later resurface as they encounter Junichi Tanigawa and Yashima, witnessing Junichi's abuse in the process.[11] Shiina defeats and terminates Yashima while Yukari relentlessly beats on Junichi after he attempts to stab her, leading to Shiina asking for Yukari to wing him.[4] After another brush with Mikogami and his Sekirei, they are finally bonded when they kiss.[8]
Yukari and Shiina are revealed to be hunting for leads on Kusano's whereabouts and the former has grown especially fond of roughing up those she doesn't deem helpful, leading to the two developing a sinister reputation amongst the plan's competitors.[12] They later have a run in with Katsuragi and Kochou, sent by Izumi Higa of the East.[13]
Yukari is later taken prisoner by Izumi Higa after Toyotama and Ichiya attack and threaten to terminate Shiina if she does not accompany them back to Higa.[10] After being set against each other by Higa's schemes, given that he wants to use and dispose of Shiina and marry Yukari for her father's company, Yukari intially reacts with what Shiina perceives as revulsion or rejection when he attempts to hug her.[14]
After some soul-searching and reflecting on her past and feelings for Shiina, Yukari steels her nerves for an escape attempt.[2] Fire alarms later go off as a fire has apparently broken out on Higa's private floor. Shiina hears Yukari's call to him through their telepathic link, and he heads off in search of her. Kakizaki runs to the room where Yukari is being held and discovers that she is the one who started the fire. She breaks the window and jumps out, 50 floors up, believing that she will be saved somehow; and she is caught by Shiina on the way down.[7]
During the last match of the Fourth Stage, Yukari and Shiina have now earned their reputation as the 'Demon Ashikabi and Death God Sekirei', and encounter Yashiro Itsuki and Amebane, a duo who seeks to take their titles, and have an inverse dynamic to Yashima and Junichi, with the Sekirei abusing the Ashikabi, with Shiina terminating Amebane by the end of the clash.[15]
After a misunderstanding when seeing Minato with Ku, the Sahashi siblings finally realize that they are both Ashikabi, and of the Sekirei that are as close as siblings.[5]
Yukari and Shiina decide to drop out of the Sekirei Plan[16], but return to defend Kamikura Island during the hostile invasion that interrupts the Fourth Stage of the Sekirei Plan, bringing other Ashikabi and Sekirei with them as reinforcements.[17]
After the plan is over, Yukari escorts Shiina to a physical and the couple attend the party at Izumo Inn.[18][19]
They also appear in the epilogue a couple of times, including to assist in the battle on Kamikura.[20]
