Plot[edit | edit source]
Musubi and Karasuba continue their epic battle. Each land blows on the other. Karasuba declares she will enjoy killing Musubi and forcing Yume to manifest again (as happened at the bridge escape); but Musubi tells her that Yume is gone. At that moment some of the invading troops encounter them; they fire on Karasuba, which only draws her attention to them. Reminded of the day she and Yume fought invading troops during the Second Invasion, Karasuba turns to attack them. Musubi blocks her attack, however, and explains that she and Yume are now permanently joined as one; killing her will not bring back Yume. This triggers a surge of emotion that reaches Natsuo.
Minato asks Kusano to perform her Norito, and she enthusiastically does so; somewhat to the consternation of the onlooking Mikogami who had coveted her in the past. Kuu releases her power; plants spring to life across the island, and power suffuses the fallen Sekireis. In a bed of new vegetation, a restored Akitsu awakens.
