Plot[edit | edit source]
Seo, Hikari and Hibiki observe the signs of battle coming from Kamikura Island from the deck of the MBI surveillance ship they were thrown onto. Seo is shocked to see Kouten firing a beam down from orbit; Hibiki notes that the situation seems similar to the first invasion of Kamikura Island. Hikari asks whether they should try to move in to assist, but Seo senses that Minato and his Sekireis have something going on.
Meanwhile Minato asks Tsukiumi to activate her Norito with him. A flustered Tsukiumi delays by asking whether Minato needs to focus on supporting Musubi in her battle with Karasuba; this causes some comments from the peanut gallery of Matsu, Homura, and Kusano who all wish she'd get on with it. Minato joins hands with her (establishing a telepathic link just as he had done earlier with Matsu) and shares with her the feelings he's receiving through his psychic link with Musubi. Tsukiumi then realizes the true possibilities of the connection between Ashikabi and Sekirei, and this stiffens her resolve. She kisses Minato, recites her Norito and unleashes her most powerful attack yet, "Sea God's Banquet:" the sea suddenly surges around the attacking warships, with massive dragon-shapes appearing to devour and sink them. Matsu confirms that the ship Seo is on was spared from the destruction.
Back on the island, Sanada is searching for his "lovelies." Unfortunately he blunders into the paratroopers who just landed, and they promptly subdue him. Higa observes Tsukiumi's attack and ruefully admits his folly of taking on Minato's "single numbers" head-on. Natsuo spots Higa checking in with Kakizaki on his satellite comm-link and asks him to use it to get the word out that Minaka is still alive; spreading that news will possibly cause the attacking forces to retreat. Just as Higa agrees and orders it done, the invaders announce their capture of Sanada and demand everyone's surrender.
