I kinda hope there are more special chapters than this. Her chapters are rather short and seems to me she needs a couple more to fill the last volume. Volume 16 being chapters 164 to 176, this would indicate 177 to 189 for volume 17.
Maybe I'm hoping for to much with a properly fleshed out epilogue?
Personally I think in chapter 187 or 188 we'd see Musubi's return, or her pulling him back up to Kouten.
I aggre there is a few more loose ends to tie up before its all said and done.
(Catuion: slight rant with spoilers)
How the heck is Takhito Asama alive!? Why isnt that piece of scum Higa not punished for all the awful things he has done? I still dont get what Minaka was after seems like that whole age of the gods stuff he constanly was blabing about was just a fluke nothing ultra astounding happened after Musubi won aside from all the other sekirei being resrected.(I admit it was a bit touching to see Uzume back with Chiho)
This is the part that really grinded my gears into a firey rage That vile plie of sh*t rapist bastard Junichi they're trying to redem him!? Yashima should just crub smash his face in with her hammer.
I know, but until those gets scanlated or someone posts detailed summary we won't know any more than we do now unless you can read Japanese.
I hypothesize the following...
Are we sure it's Takehito alive and not some sort of flashback? Or imagining like what they do in freezing where satella and Kazuya see kazuha a lot? We don't know...
I have a feeling Mikogami is being punished because HE BROKE THE SHIP. Remember when Mutsu used smashing point to break down into the lower corridors when Akitsu was winged/fixed resulting in her using her full powers? Yeah, that resulted in the following invasion. The boy is taking his lumps. Taking responsibility.
Higa can go die... I hope his Sekirei leave him after all he put them through, problem is they are acclimated to him now.. If they survived.
I've said it before, I'll say it again. The s-plan, the Sekirei plan, whatever that madman Minaka wants to call it, it's just a twisted version of a very valid Sekirei culture game he found in the ships database. He already had the d&d madness stuck in his head likely and was pleased as punch to twist it to his amusement.
The original historical significance, and I AM purely guessing is the creation of a new pillar, allowing the old to retire/step down having raised those surrounding her/him to adulthood and able to COMPETE to succeed the pillar. Who happens to be Miya. Who happens to find an Ashikabi and most of his Sekirei living with her... And trains them..
Oh, and for the record, I had details above wrong. I'm one volume off. Volume 18 will likely end at 189 with my estimations if her chapter sizes and number of pages/chapters per volume is any indication.
Fair enough, I also noticed that you were off by 1 volume. The whole "new pillar" theory seems legit but I guess we will find out soon enough.
Pretty sure the Takehito sightings are flashbacks. He's human, not Sekirei, and he was vaporized (except for his lab coat) when he retuned the Jinki to release their energy upon humans (himself being the only one in range) instead of the Sekireis that couldn't be moved out of range in time.
ETA: OK, I went and looked at the raws. They apparently salvaged some part of his body (with a spatula and a dustbuster, presumably) and put it in one of the Sekirei creches. Will this regenerate him? Possibly. Since we're all about the happy endings here that would be a happy ending for Miya :)
Mikogami has been punishing himself for breaking the ship. I don't think anyone actually holds it against him...and it was Mutsu who did it, anyway. I think he's just helping out excavating the Sekirei ship as his own penance.
