Toyotama is one of Higa Izumi's Sekirei. She debuted when attacking Shiina to force Yukari into submission to Higa's demands out of fear of Toyotama and Ichiya harming him[1]. Toyotama was named shortly after when she was ordered by Higa to bring Shiina to Yukari after he had "brainwashed" him[2]. She appears again in her usual role as one of Higa's bodyguards during the third match of the Sekirei Plan [3]. Synchronous to the final match of the Third Stage of the Sekirei Plan she participates in Higa's second attack on Izumo Inn and was terminated by Musubi.[4]
Appearance[]
Toyotama is a tall and curvaceous woman with long dark green hair and very pale blue eyes. She wears a tight purple and white belly-top, revealing quite some cleavage, which displays the Sekirei Crest in red on her left breast. Long, dark gloves, dark stockings held by a garter over her bloomers and brown, thigh-high boots complement her appearance.
Personality[]
Toyotama is ruthless, efficient, and matter of fact, caring little for the Sekirei Plan's rules, and having no problems with fighting two on one as seen when she teamed up with Ichiya to ambush and fight Shiina. She values strength and effectiveness a great deal, likely a result of the strict conditions of her loveless "bond" with Higa, and is shocked when this strength does not win out against a younger and (from her perspective) weaker Sekirei.[4]
Abilities and Powers[]
Toyotama is a weapons type and uses a staff to fight, and is competent in close-quarters combat, also boasting high strength, speed, reflexes, and durability, predominantly demonstrated in her battle with Musubi. She works effectively in combat alongside Ichiya.[1]
History[]
Little is known about her past, minus the standard details that apply to all Sekirei due to their association with MBI. She trained and developed a friendship with fellow Sekirei Ichiya before the two were released by MBI for the Sekirei Plan, and were two of Higa's earliest Sekirei as they were two of the first Sekirei to be released.[4]
Anime and Manga differences[]
- In episode 10 of the Second season of the anime (Pure Engagement), she makes a brief appearance alongside Ichiya and terminates Uzume, which is anime-only, as Sai is the one responsible for terminating Uzume in the manga.
